The Concave Hull Polygon Tool is accessable in the Points Tab in the Vector Tools Panel in the Side Panel. It can be used to create a concave hull polygon or multi-polygon around either all, or only the selected, occurrence record points with a maximum edge length of a specified length (in km).
Before using the Concave Hull Polygon Tool, occurrence records must already be loaded on the map.
To use the Concave Hull Polygon Tool, follow these steps:
If the concave hull polygon should be created based on only the selected occurrence record points, select “selected”, otherwise leave the default of “all” selected in the Concave Hull Polygon Tool.
Enter the value (in km) of the maximum edge length for the concave hull polygon: kilometers
Click the Concave Hull Polygon button in the Concave Hull Polygon Tool:
The created concave hull feature is added to the Shapes Layer.
